Information GiveGo receives
Account information may include your name, email address, mobile number, role, organization information, verification status, and account preferences.
Pickup, donation, and cleanout information may include addresses, item descriptions, quantities, dimensions, condition details, room or space types, requested disposition plans, restricted-material disclosures, photos, access instructions, legal-authority attestations, estimate and review records, delivery outcomes, receiving documentation, support requests, and claims or safety reports.
When you authorize location access, GiveGo may receive coordinates needed to verify a pickup, support navigation, document an incident, or share a GiveGo Mover's active-route location with the customer. Location sharing is intended to stop when the active route ends.
Stripe and other payment providers collect payment-card, identity, tax, or bank information through their own secure systems. GiveGo generally receives transaction identifiers, status, amounts, and payout-readiness information rather than complete payment credentials.
GiveGo also receives technical information such as device type, app version, IP address, timestamps, logs, crash information, and security events.
How GiveGo uses information
- Create and secure accounts; authenticate users; and provide customer, Mover, receiving-organization, and administrator workflows.
- Prepare quotes; schedule and dispatch pickups; match eligible destinations; process payments and payouts; provide tracking; and document pickup and delivery outcomes.
- Respond through GoGuide, support tickets, email, claims, privacy, and safety processes.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe activity, unauthorized routing, payment errors, and misuse of the platform.
- Operate closed-beta testing, troubleshoot defects, measure reliability, improve accessibility, and maintain audit records.
- Comply with applicable law, enforce agreements, protect users and property, and respond to lawful requests.
When information is shared
GiveGo shares only the information reasonably needed for a service or legal purpose. This can include sharing pickup details with the assigned GiveGo Mover, delivery details with a selected receiving destination, and transaction information with Stripe and other payment or payout providers.
GiveGo may use infrastructure, hosting, mapping, communications, analytics, storage, security, customer-support, legal, accounting, insurance, and other service providers. Those providers process information for the services they perform.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law; to investigate fraud, safety, claims, or security concerns; to protect rights or property; or in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
GiveGo does not sell personal information for money. GiveGo does not authorize receiving organizations or GiveGo Movers to use customer information for unrelated marketing.
Photos, documents, and sensitive information
Do not upload passwords, full payment-card numbers, security codes, bank-login credentials, government identification unless a secure verified workflow specifically requests it, medical records, or unrelated personal documents.
Item and delivery photos may reveal home interiors, addresses, people, or documents. Photograph only what is needed for the pickup or evidence record and remove unrelated personal information from view.
Retention and deletion
GiveGo retains information for the period reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit trails, resolve disputes and claims, satisfy payment, tax, insurance, legal, and recordkeeping obligations, and enforce agreements.
You may initiate account deletion from the Account section of the app or follow the public account-deletion instructions. Some transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, safety, insurance, claims, and legal records may be retained when required or reasonably necessary.
Your choices
- Review and update available account and notification preferences in the app.
- Decline camera, photo-library, location, or notification permission through device settings; some related features may then be unavailable.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or another available privacy action through the in-app Privacy Rights Center or GiveGo Support.
- Contact GiveGo before submitting sensitive information when you are unsure whether it is required.
