Version 2026.08-draft1

International Expansion and Country Addenda Framework

The country-by-country legal and operational controls required before GiveGo expands beyond the United States.

Updated 8/9/2026
Not approved for real-money launchThis operational draft is available for product testing and attorney review. Mandatory federal, state, and local law always controls.

Important Draft Status

PRE-LAUNCH COUNSEL REVIEW DRAFT. This document is an operational draft for product testing and legal review. It is not approved for live, real-money launch and does not replace advice from qualified transportation, consumer-protection, privacy, employment, tax, insurance, or local counsel.

1. U.S.-First Launch

GiveGo is beginning in the United States. No country outside the United States is enabled for live service unless GiveGo publishes a country addendum and activates that country in the market registry. App availability, a website visit, a waitlist, or translated content is not a live-service offer.

2. Country Launch Gates

  • Local company registration, transportation and brokerage licensing, vehicle and driver rules, insurance, customs, waste and donation rules, and receiving-partner authority.
  • Consumer cancellation, pricing, refunds, unfair-contract rules, warranties, dispute forums, arbitration restrictions, local-language requirements, accessibility, and complaint handling.
  • Worker classification, employment, tax, withholding, social insurance, background screening, immigration, and subcontracting requirements.
  • Currency, payment licensing, marketplace payments, payout, tax, sanctions, anti-money-laundering, and cross-border financial rules.
  • Privacy controller/processor roles, lawful bases, cookies, sensitive data, children's data, retention, regulator registration, data localization, breach notification, and cross-border transfer mechanisms.

3. International Data Transfers

Before transferring personal information across borders, GiveGo must identify an approved transfer mechanism and required notices, contracts, assessments, security, and local storage obligations. A U.S. privacy notice alone is not sufficient for an international launch.

4. Country Addendum Priority

The applicable country addendum and mandatory local law control over inconsistent general terms. GiveGo may use a local affiliate, local contracting entity, or country-specific service model and will identify that structure in the addendum.

Legal review remains required

GiveGo will not rely on this draft to override mandatory carrier, consumer, worker, insurance, tax, privacy, or claims law. A market-specific counsel approval and launch record are required before live service.
